imageMontmartre is a hill in Paris with a spectacular panoramic view of the city. It is also known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur on its summit. At the beginning of the twentieth century, many artists like Salvador Dalí, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh had studios and worked around Montmartre. Behind the basilica are quaint cafes along cobblestone streets lined with aspiring artists. It may be a steep climb but what awaits at the summit is worth every step.

  1. Love this area and the Sacre Coure shot in particular. Nice perspective. Potentially you could have cropped the feature image a little more even to control the very high saturation in the cloud above? Love Paris. Thx for shaing

      • I always hope people don’t think I am criticising if I say something like that. Just a suggestion. Really the only way to control harsh light like that is to either crop it when you compose the photograph or in post (if it’s possible without ruining the photo). I really enjoy seeing your post come up in my Reader each day. 🙂
