My good friends Gary and Melanie got married at Cape Cod last September and I missed it due to my trip to Paris and London. Another friend (who also couldn’t attend) and I offered to take their engangement photos a few weeks before the wedding and it was a good opportunity for us to work on our portrait photography skills. I have never taken portraits coz I have a hard time instructing people how to pose. Unlike landscape photography where you can just quietly snap your photos, portraits involve a lot of choreography and staging. This is my first attempt and gladly, it didn’t turn out as bad as I thought.

I know what you mean about landscapes not talking back. Landscapes are my forte too but I do love a portrait shoot. Just done a child today in my home studio and loved it. Pictures on my Facebook page Ebor Images.

I don’t know if I can handle kids at this time…maybe I’ll continue practicing with adults first. Hehehe! By the way, saw your pics and love them.
