This was an old photograph taken at the Grand Canyon back in 2010 and also one of my personal favorites. This guy was a tourist like me standing in solitude at the edge of the cliff while enjoying the grandness of Mother Nature before him. With his cowboy hat on, he reminded me of the Marlboro man minus the cattle and the horse so I decided to include him as an additional element to my composition. It was a beautiful and clear afternoon that you can see the Colorado River snaking between the canyons and the eagle on flight just below us. This photo was taken around 3 pm just as the sun was transitioning to its golden glow phase. The silence of the place was deafening only to be interrupted by the flight calls of the eagle every now and then. I am glad that I decided to add a human element to this photograph…..after all, we are all a part of that circle of life…and we are no more than special than the land or the water, the animals and the plants, and every other element that also call this planet home.
Wow! What depth!
