I am currently in the enchanting city of Florence and I’ve never said wow so many times in my life. This city in the heart of Italy’s Tuscany region was once a powerful kingdom and a major trading point in Europe. The city is rich in culture and traditions as well as impressive architecture such as the Basilica of Saint Mary the Flower with its behemoth of a dome towering above the city as seen in the middle of my photo. The city’s other famous landmarks include the Ponte Vecchio (bridge on middle left of the photo) and Β the Church of Santa Croce (middle right), which serves as home to the remains of famous Italians like Galileo, Michelangelo and Dante. This photo was taken on top of a hill at the Piazza Michelangelo and the view from the top was worth every step of the climb.
Great capture! π

I enjoy your posts. Last week I was teaching my daughter about the Basilica for her homeschool history lessons, about Galileo during physical science, and we also mentioned Michelangelo in art history! The week before, she learned about Dante’s Inferno for literature class. Had I known, I could have just shown her this post and been done in five minutes! Lol

Hahaha! I don’t think my post would be of any help either.
